Cabaret Bizarre celebrates the unconventional and the bizarre. At that, Cabaret Bizarre orients itself at the grand theatres and variety shows of Paris and Berlin during the Golden Twenties. Glamour and glory and the atmosphere of old travelling menageries, vaudeville theatres and cabarets shall sparkle anew for a night. Cabaret Bizarre is a cabinet of curiosities, a freak show, a carnival of desires à la Brecht or Fellini. The work presented here originated mostly backstage and portrays brief moments of preparation and tension right before a performance or the instant of big euphoria after the show.
