Hands & Faces are images taken in Ethiopia at private clinic run by Italian doctors. Hands burned,deformed that are waiting to be operated. Hands protagonists. Faces feared, concealed, waiting for an operation that will change their lives. Hands for men, women and children are paramount. Every type of work is done with them. The hands were photographed with a light set using the still life technique while the portraits of the people were bewitched with the pin hole. I did not want the attention to fall on recognizable faces but on the problematic that drove these people to seek treatment.
