“Never Born” is a long-term project that tells about abortion fetuses voluntarily or spontaneously. In Italy, Law 194 of 1978 regulates the interruption of pregnancy and sets the deadline for voluntary interruption at 3 months of gestation. Before this term the “abortive products” are thrown into special hospital waste but there are Catholic anti-abortion associations that conclude conventions with some hospitals and they are concerned with giving a burial to these fetuses. Volunteers march behind the funeral procession and they celebrate the function in the communal cemetery chapel.
