My passion is creating highly detailed botanical photographic images which show viewers a side of nature they have never seen before. To do that, I use a technique that involves focus stacking, where multiple images, all taken with a different focal point, are layered together to create a composite which is highly detailed and in focus from front to back. I was given “back stage” access to the rare and exotic plant collection at the Huntington Museum in California where I used my technique to show the most intricate details of their flowers, some of which are critically endangered.
