Hong Kong's widespread street and mall protests, starting in June 2019, prompted millions of citizens to take to the streets in repeated shows of strength in numbers over the course of seven months. This series is a look at the overwhelming numbers of people who have mobilised as part of this movement. At the movement's peak, protests drew up to two million citizens to the streets, according to organiser estimates; regular crowd sizes of over 1 million were a regular occurrence throughout the summer of 2019.
