For more than three years Ukraine has been plagued by an endless conflict between the Donbas territories and the government of Kiev. Despite the cease-fire agreements, the war continued and became bogged down, transforming the whole of Ukrainian society and, above all, the youth. From Donetsk to Kiev via Cherkassy and Krasnoilsk, this photographic project therefore highlights another facet of the conflict in Ukraine through the complex daily life of young people whose future remains uncertain.
Graduated with a master's degree in geopolitics, Aude Osnowycz worked in various professions before turning to photography. In 2011, she decided to become a photojournalist and spent four years documenting the impacts of the Arab Spring in the Maghreb and the Middle East for various French and foreign magazines.
